    WESTERN ELECTRIC TELEPHONE
    51AL "Candlestick" Wired to Work
    Up for auction this beautifully restored original Western Electric 51AL "Candlestick" Telephone the 1930s and 40's. This has been totally refurbished and rewired to work right out of the box with a 534 Metal Ringer Box. The  Body, fingerwheel, perch, cup and numbercard have been professionally powdercoated a gleaming black. It has a new era correct brown cloth receiver cord.  There is a new 6 foot black modular cord from the ringer box to plug into the wall.  There is a new brown 6ft cloth "umbilical" from the phone to the ringer box. The box has also been powdercoated, it's in very good condition, no dings or dents of note. It has a very nice Number 2AA dial that has been cleaned and adjusted to Western Specs. It has a newer notched numberplate. All numbers are crisp and clear. It has the original 337 transmitter with the original "Starred" mouthpiece. The faceplate retains its original finish. We've applied new felt to the bottom. It has the original 143 magnet receiver that has been buffed and polished. There  are 2 small chips on the cap as shown, but no cracks or damage. This phone will work on any STANDARD landline. Certain newer modems or other VOIP phones systems will require a "Pulse to Tone converter" to dial out. These are readily available online, otherwise, it's an answer only telephone.
    We ship ASAP and use bubble wrap and peanuts to insure safe delivery to your home. This will be apprx 12 pounds in a 12x12x12 box securely packed to avoid any damage shipping to your home. We will refund any amount overpaid. Most of our phones with ringer boxes sold lately have indeed been issued refunds.
