    Description

Acquired by a family member in Germany in the early 1960's,
and now offered for the discriminating buyer and connoisseur of fine art:
a rare and vintage unused German Reichenbach fine porcelain Fatima Mocha Service / Set.
    (6 cups, 6 saucers, 1 creamer, 1 sugar bowl w/ lid, & 1 pot w/lid)
    New and unused in original box with four language product booklet;
German, Russian, English, and French - the four occupying powers of Berlin.
Even though there is a chip at the tip of the pot's spout which was repaired,
    it may need additional attention.
This exact same rare complete set displayed under glass
at an exhibition can be found at the web page below:

Reichenbach porcelain comes from a town of the same name in Germany,
the "porcelain village" on the Thuringian "porcelain road."
These pieces portray a beautiful "Fatima" decor designed by Hildegund Sell in 1962.
The "Fatima" style is a particularly bright style
with an outspoken oriental touch both in colors and decor.
The particular whiteness of this china and an excellent transparency
are further outstanding features of these pieces.
Decor 4047/Fa. features the figure motifs in brilliant blue on the bright white china.
    Each pretty cup measures 2 1/2" tall x 2 1/2" wide, saucers are 4 1/4" wide,
the creamer is 3 1/4" tall, the sugar bowl with lid is 4 1/4" tall,
and the pot stands 8 1/4" tall with lid.
In addition to the original Reichenbach markings and adding to their uniqueness,
they are also stamped with very rare Russian marks,
from the Russian Sector of Germany.
It would make a wonderful addition to any vintage china collection,
or simply enjoy using them yourself.
