    Description

    USSR National Flag, Soviet Merchant Fleet type, 1970s-80s issue.
    GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL flag from the Soviet period – not a recent copy! This small-size flag measures one by two feet, easy to frame and display.
    The flag is in Wool Bunting; the sleeve of rough grey canvas holds the nylon rope for attaching the flag to a line on the mast. Flags of this type were specifically for the maritime use, the same exact design as used by the Soviet Navy. This particular piece was intended for a small launch and its unusually small size makes it ideal for a wall display.
    The flag is in GOOD condition. It shows storage age only, no soiling or wear of any kind. The color is nice and strong, not faded. There is a single moth hole near the far edge, but it does not significantly detract from the overall look of the flag. Note that there is a small extra piece of red fabric attached at the bottom of the flag, as per Soviet regulations - just in case a small repair is deemed necessary.
    This can be a fantastic addition to a maritime or Soviet memorabilia collection!
