    Description

    This is an
ORIGINAL US NAVY TWO STAR ADMIRAL (Rear Admiral O - 8) PERSONAL FLAG that was used by RADM S.T. Counts who passed away in 2015
    .
    He was the
Commanding Officer of the USS Bronstein FF-1037, the USS Towers DDG-9 and the USS Chicago CG-11.
The Chicago was a heavy cruiser of over 600 feet long - one of the larger naval surface combatants - just smaller than a battleship.
Please read in the condition section about its condition. It is a flag with a blue field with two large white stars. It was designed to be hoisted up with the US Flag, and perhaps the flag of the Department of the Navy. It will definitely take a beating from the wind. It has heavy duty stitching so that it won't come apart. It measures  41" x 51" and has a strong white reinforcement strip of canvas on the left side. On each of the upper ends of the reinforcement are the lines for attaching to the line of a flag pole. Please see the photos for a better idea of its condition and its composition.
