    Early Strowger systems required the customer to "signal/ring" the called line by pressing the button every few seconds (till the someone answered the call) after dialing the correct number.
    This auction is for one push button for the Strowger wood wall phone. It has been reproduced to look like the original. The thread size is 8-32, the same as the original. Please look at all the photos to see the Knob up close.
