  • Condition: This set of prints are in great preowned condition with no signs of major damage or excessive wear. No foxing (brown spots), distracting stains, faded colors, etc. Frame and glass are in great shape as well. We wanted to point out that the bottom right edge of the first image was cut to outline the gray background (maybe there had been a stain?). Then the picture is backed with a piece of paper from the same book. Also, there is a slight water mark behind the bow of the lady that I thought was part of design until removing the back to inspect. You can see pictures of this piece to ensure you agree with us that the is still an absolutely lovely little grouping as framed. Just delightful.

    Description

    This is a lovely SET of 3 retro vintage prints from a children's book featuring children playing.  The prints are nice and vivid (appearing to be serigraphs in places topping lithograph dots since the solid colors that appear on clothing or hair, for example, lays on top of the paper rather than just being tightly printed lithograph dots). We believe these are little Dutch / Holland children based on clothing and hair but are not sure of the age of the book.
    The prints are strikingly framed in a black and white more modern frame that contrasts to give a pop to the "wink" of retro whimsy. The frame is from the Green Tree Gallery and folds from straight in a row to a triangle format, Z shape or anything in between.  Each print is approximately 6.25" x 4".  Each frame (without the little protrusion through which the silver connector goes) is 7.125" x 5.125". Laid completely flat, measures 19" x 7.125".
    Weight is about 5 lbs 12 oz.
