Description
Here is a rare glove made for a youth player. I bought this 15 years ago on eBay from an American living in the USA and was told the glove had originally been made in Cuba. The glove is 11" long through the palm and has extremely soft and quality feeling and looking leather on the outside and inside. Derek Rosen wrote his name in large marker on the backside. It's for a right handed thrower and fits on the left hand. It is marked MOD.354 which I assume is the model number. Also stamped on the glove in Spanish is Piel de Res Especial which translates to "Special Beef Skin" (or leather). Also below the web in Spanish is Cajon Profundo which translates roughly to "Deep Pocket". In the middle of the palm is a stamping of a bull. No info on a maker or where the glove was made though. I own one other Cuban made baseball glove that I know was made in Cuba and it has the same stamping on it this one has (other than being a different model number). THIS SECOND MITT IS NOW ALSO ON EBAY AND YOU CAN SEE IT AND NOTE THAT LOTS OF THE STAMPING SAY THE SAME THING.Big American owners name written in sharpie on back of glove. There may have been a patch on the back below the web as the leather is a little roughed up there. But if there was it must have been glued on or if it was sewn on it must have just been in the corners. The leather is soft and supple inside and out. I can start to get my adult hand into it but it gets tight and I can't get all of my hand in it.
I have other gloves and mitts on eBay ending now and I like to combine shipping whenever possible. If you win more than one glove you'll have to pay the grand total for shipping. But I'll refund you the difference back on the price of combined shipping. Or I'll send out an invoice if possible.
