Greetings,
Oracle Delphi is one of the few iconic turntables, which has evolved during the years, but still today, Oracle Delphi MKVI carries the same principal design with much higher price tag.
Considering its age, this MK-I is in great condition, all main parts are original with some added improvement:
Please do not laugh at the Wing nut, it was just easy way for me to attach the arm-board for taking pictures, but they can still be useful as a tool less solution.
The sub-chassis has a custom counter weight, Oracle now adds a counter weight to the newer Delphi (please see the picture with the white arrow).
A custom made regulated 27V DC power supply with plenty of reserve, user adjustable, very stable, replacing the poor quality original wall wart adapter.
Three large isolation feet, replacing the original.
A Mod-Squad RCA to 5-pin (female) DIN contact.
The original coupling disk to lock the vinyl in place, plus an additional from Perfectionist Engineering.
A new leather mat.
Five custom made mounting boards made of dense plastic, pre-drilled for main chassis attachment, one was used with a SME 3009 tonearm.
The rubber peripheral wave trap on the edge of the platter was replaced with 3 rubber O-rings, the original is included.
The original mounting hardware for tonearm boards, plus stainless steel wing nuts.
The Oracle logo lamp was replaced with a LED.
A CD with manual and some schematics are included (all from Oracle Website).
The motor is the original, it runs great and is very quiet, the 33 and 45 speeds are stable, please see the pictures.
The PlexiGlass dust cover is in great condition, no cracks, scratches, the Base Plate has some very minor superficial light scratches, difficult to see until you tilt it in certain light, easily polished.
The pictures were taken without Hinges attached to the dust cover, Hinges are included and fully functional.
The main bearing housing was cleaned, the buyer needs to refill it with 3IN1 machine oil, add a tonearm, cartridge and enjoy this beauty.
The KAB Speed Strobe is NOT included, highly recommended for any turntable.
