(The JAG corps, one of the oldest corps in the US Army, functions as the Army's legal arm.) Most of the enlistees accepted by the corps were already practicing attorneys in their civilian lives. These five training manuals are clean of most writing 'save for the name of the owner, JAG Lt/Capt. Wright Brooks. Some of them have old covers and paper that is chipped at the edges. All are completely readable, They date from 1943 through 1945, years the USA was in WW2. The JAG Col. whose books these were was not only an early product of the Ann Arbor JAG school, he appears to have later been a teacher there and helped revise some of these manuals for further editions.

These manuals are in good but varying condition. There are occasional pencil markings, but none of these is distracting.  All are War Department publications.
The former owner of these manuals enlisted in the U.S. military early in the war.  Since he was schooled as a lawyer, he was assigned to train for the JAG detail, to become a Judge Advocate.
This listing contains only five of the many items he saved.  We will be listing more, so stay in touch with this site.
In this space we could not begin to summarize the contents of each manual.   Instead, we have photographed one page of each book.  For example, for the manual on Handicrafts for Soldiers we have photographed two U.S. Allied
Propaganda posters that soldiers produced at the end of their handicrafts course.
    These
    booklets
reflect the world of U.S. soldiers during WWII.
Please see our photos.  Not only are they part of our listing, they are of the actual manuals you will receive.
