    Description

    This is a very vintage bowie hunter knife made in Sheffield probably prior to WW1.  Marked JOSEPH ALLEN & SONS SHEFFIELD ENGLAND  Knife measures 12.5" long with the blade being 8". Nickel silver elliptical guard.  Handle is jigged bone slabs with nice texture and no damage.  Blade is pretty full but does have a slight belly from use near the tang.  Really a nice old knife now over 100 years old.  Comes in a vintage replacement sheath with braided rawhide stitching.  A nice set.  Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.
