The Black Hills Copper Company Limited, originally incorporated in 1899 and reincorporated in 1905, operated gold mines in Pennington County, South Dakota. The company’s mining claims were about five miles southwest of the mining town of Rochford on Copper Reef Mountain (Whitetail Peak) in the western Black Hills.
