Description
This early 20th century magneto phone ringer is in very good condition. The original solid oak finish cleaned up well, with just a few paint splatters. The five bar magneto assembly was made by the Cracraft Leich Company and I believe the box is from Western Electric. I could not locate a date, but from research about these type of units, this one is circa 1910-1920. The magneto is strong and the double bell ringer is loud and clear. Dimensions: 10x8x6".The handset was made by Western Electric and is marked 557B. It appears the wiring between the wall unit and the phone, while somewhat worn, is intact and can be made serviceable once again. I am unsure of the date for it, but most likely the mid to late 1930's.
This is a handsome coupling that must have served well for many years and speaks to the quality made items from years ago. They will be securely packaged to arrive safely to you.
