    Description

    Antique Royal Rudolstadt Ewer with Dogwood Flowers and a fancy gold handle. The background is a pale yellow with what appears to be either transfer with gold accents or hand painted. Nicely done with lots of details. Bisque or matte finish to the ewer. The design is mainly found on the front while the back  has a simple solid color of flowers. The back floral design has faded a little. Also, there is heavy gold loss on the handle and around the top rim. The front bouquet is just gorgeous though and for some reason the gold loss just adds more to the design. The gold handle is in the shape of a flower. Also noted on the piece are a few light scuff marks which is common with the bisque or matte finish. The very bottom and top of the ewer has an embossed flower design. The inside is a gloss white.
    Fully marked on the bottom with the name RW and Germany in blue.The mark dates the piece to the early 1900s. Measures about 6 3/4" tall at the sprout and about 3 1/2" wide at the bottom.
