  • Condition: Clean original exterior has not been altered or restored, just cleaned. Amp and mechanism rebuilt 2020. Much new wire. All new wire, lamps, sockets and ballast for lights and color motors. Was converted to 45 RPM in the 1950's but we put it back on 78 RPM with decent success. We altered the 45 arm to play 78's.

    Subtle, elegance. Like a beautiful woman but very modest. If you have never been in the room with a AMI "B" you may not, "get it" at least I didn't at first. Not from pictures. I always thought, "Why is the mechanism hidden like that behind the titles?" It's not obvious and no picture can truly reveal her full beauty. You must be in the room with her to get it. to understand. To see her full beauty, to see the record play, you have to work for it. You have to look around the front. What you are greeted with for your effort is a glimpse at a truly amazing mechanism. A steel arm able to grip a record and flip it to play either side without smashing the delicate disc. Truly amazing. My technician is an amp specialist so this thing is LOUD.
    I have a 2021 list of antique jukebox technicians in every major market for every state if you need help with set up or future maintenance.
    Over 70 year old, electro mechanical, musical sculpture like this will require future lubrication at the least.
