  • Condition: As bought, 4 PADDLES FROM AN ANTIQUE HAND MADE SET OF 8; yes, should keep together, but the unusual subject matter of the skull paddle changed my mind, & 2 sets of 4 is ok; all structurally sound, all look made by the same organization/group/club, 4 SAYINGS HERE, none are signed in this lot (3 are signed on handles of OTHER LOT); old, hand made, some age staining, none split or broken..

    Please read all of above description & use closeup feature on pics; here are 4 antique hand made wood ping pong paddles, half  of a set of 8, all hand made, probably by a team/group of players(3 with signed handles, in the OTHER GROUP); HERE ARE 4 SAYINGS, the 4th with a thin burnt DRAWING OF A CIGAR (PIC 9); !. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. 2. They say what say they ok well let them say. 3. A woman is only a woman but a good cigar is a smoke. 4. It's better to smoke here than here after (cigar rendering); all 8 paddles have little metal picture-hanging loop for hanging up (seen in 1st pic), 1 has been replaced, slightly diff, but easy to find a perfect 1;  listing in 2 lots; the OTHER LISTING has the 2 pretty ladies, the skull & 1 saying relating to Hell; all are of the same 2-pc construction, handles & flats sliding into each other at necks, like the early Parker bros. paddles, EXCEPT these 8 have NARROW PARALLEL GROOVES on both sides of each paddle (for-runner to sand paper-like later paddle faces ??); all 8-sided handles; all paddles roughly the same size, appx 11 3/4" x 5 7/8" ; I bought these all together, did NOT accumulate & then make a group; early 1900s; having trouble cropping pics, will try to get closer & upright ....UNDER 3 lb.
