    Description

    Early 1900's Tiny Perfume Bottles
Here we have four lady's perfume bottles from the early 1900's. This is the size that would go in the handbag and not be used on the vanity. One style has a lid, the others would have had tiny corks that are no longer intact.
First, there are two with a nice embossed floral pattern close to the shoulder and vertical lines. The backside has a spot for a small label which is long gone. One of these still has the original zinc lid cover. This lid has a dent that looks to me like use wear. These are 2 1/4" high and an Inch wide. Both are very clean with no damage.
Second is a smaller one with a dotted design around the shoulder and a spot for a tiny round label. This one is only 1 3/4" high and an Inch wide. There is a number 12 embossed on the base. Very clean, no damage.
Third is a unique shaped 2 1/2" high example with a taper from 1 1/4" down to 3/4" at the base. This one is embossed "Vogue Perfumer Co., New York" in an indented front panel. This one is in dug condition with some haze on the inside but no damage.
Vogue Perfumery Co (Vogue Perfumery Company, 234 5th Avenue, New York, N.Y.) was incorporated in New York on August 25, 1911. The company was defunct by 1920. The company produced various perfumes, cosmetics, extracts, sachets and toiletries. Many of their bottles are embossed with the name Vogue Perfumery Co.
The four make a very nice collection that were used over 100 years ago!
