2004 BMW R-Series

Description

BMW R-Series.  Former southern police bike, dealer serviced.  When I purchased the bike I put new tires, filters, new stainless brake lines, flushed the brake system. The tires are Continental with 4018 and 2918 date codes. It has a brand new GIVI windshield. I put new tops on the rear bags, the originals had painted over "Traffic" markings.  It is ready to ride anywhere. It is a pleasure to ride and the neat thing about riding a police bike is no one pulls out in front of you. It has a newer gel cell battery.  The "Don't panic" on the back is a sticker, easily removed.   Ever since I put the new brake lines on it the brake failure idiot light has been flashing. As i have ridden it almost 500 miles with the light on I doubt it is a problem  and I would guess it can be reset at a BMW dealer. As the nearest BMW dealer is a 230 mile round trip, I never bothered with it. It stops just fine. If you would like to see the bike in person I will be happy to arrange a time.
