This is a 79 year old heavily color illustrated hardcover example of
United States SERVICE SYMBOLS
by Cleveland H. Smith and Gertrude R. Taylor, a 1942 Eagle Book distributed by Duell, Sloan and Pearce, Inc. of New York.  Each subject in this 5-½ x 7-⅞ inch, 116 page book was prepared with the full cooperation of members of the War Department, Navy Department, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard and other organizations represented.
United States SERVICE SYMBOLS
contains over 1200 full-color illustrations of WW2 decorations and medals, uniforms and shoulder patch insignia, USAAF and USMC squadron insignia, USAAF wings and chevrons, brassards, hat piping, international code flags, and even has instructions on how to properly display the American flag and address mail to service men.
This book was once part of the library in Hot Springs, South Dakota and has numbers written inside the front cover, title page, back cover and a few other pages.  A previous owner retaped the spine with red book tape.   It is complete, in used condition and has no odor.  The photos in this listing are of the actual book we are selling.
